Hi

I am wondering if there is any way of routing incoming calls over an SCN without an advanced SCN licence? Maybe using ARS or a shortcode somehow.

Basically I am moving from an office to work at home but need to work in both temporarily as it is taking a few months for the transition, so outside calls need to ring in both offices.

I can't move the line out of the office or I will have no broadband. Basically we are mainly working from home, but odd days in the office while we get rid of the stock.

The configuration is an IP406v2 running 5.0(26) software and I have dug out of the store an old SOE now upgraded to 4.2(23).

I now have the IP406 at home with 6 incoming siplines in, the SCN works fine and I can dial out through the SOE at the office. The SOE has one incoming POT, which is what I need to answer at home.

All I want do is get the main line at the office coming into the SOE to ring at home on the IP406 extensions.

As we are cuttign back I really cant afford to buy an Advanced SCN licence just to use for two or three months.

The onyl way I can see to do this is to have a separate VOIP extension at home attachign to the SOE, just for the incoming calls. Which is not that convenient as we work in different rooms, and I can't always run quick enough before people hang up to answer it.

I have tried call forwarding by taking an unused extension and forwarding it from teh SOE to the IP406 but the outside call does not forward.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Hoepfuly there is a work around to get the incoming line to ring at the other office.

I hope this is clear and enough information, please ask if you need anything else.

Many thanks

Kevin

suppose the target numbers at the remote site are 3xx then create a shortcode like this:
SC = 3XX
TN = .
Action = Dial
Line ID = the outgoing line ID of your H.323 trunk to the remote site.

You can route calls within ICR to any 3xx number

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

Thanks

This works a treat and even allows me to point to hunt groups instead of extensions.

Only drawback is it does not allow for calls to be ring at to both sites, but it is more important to have the call ringing at teh remote site which works and I have it falling back to the office if not answered, before it goes to voicemail.

As the Dts dontw rok on the SOE Ionyl ahve 3 voip lines which I can ekep in teh office now.

Thanks again.
