If the unit is a 406v2 (the one with integrated station ports) and the sticker on the bottom or back has a PCS of 8 or above then yes it can go to 4.0+.
If it is a 406v2 with a PCS of 7 or below Avaya has issued a PCN for the replacement of these units at no cost.
Is there any way to tell this via software? I am no where near the unit and it is racked in a overcrowded wiring closet - getting the the bottom/back of the physical unit would be very challengins.
use the ip office program that is called monitor
connect to the ip office and look to a part that says "freemem" with a lot of numbers behind it
if it is a pcs 6 or lower it will say sometimes of 1623345345 (i don't exactly how long it is)
is it pcs8 or higer it will say 4834234234
a pcs 7 is different
with the pcs 7 they started with the bigger memory
so you could have ome with less memory or a new one with more memory
