Can i sync. with Novell GroupWise 1

I can not find any programs to HotSync with GroupWise e-mail program. Is it realy not posible for Novell users to use a palm and use HotSync. ??

We use GroupWise 5.5.3 here. We cannot sync our email using Intellisync. We CAN sync up the address book, etc. using Intellisync.

I have contacted Puma about this and their answer was that the Intellisync software does NOT support the higher versions of GroupWise.

I am doing R&D to find a software that will synch up our GW email. I have found server-based software but none that will synch up all aspects of GW for an individual desktop. If anyone knows of any software that will succesfully allow synching of all aspects of GroupWise 5.5 (and higher) which includes calendaring, tasks, notes, AND email, please let us know here at this forum! Thanks!

You cannot sync the mail because it has it's own specific conduit that only goes through the palm desktop. The only way you maybe able to do this if you purchised a program called multi mail. Or if you are able to get you email to go into outlook. The reason is because palm has not created a conduit to work with groupwise. Your only other solution would to contact Novel and findout if they know a third party application or conduit you can install to get the groupse mail to go onto the palm either than that you S.O.L

Having GW email go through another client defeats the purpose of using a groupware program. You can't use the features that a groupware program affords you!

To reiterate:
1. If you have GW 5.5.2 or older, you can use Intellisynch to synch up all portions of Gw (email, calendaring, address books, etc.)

2. It will NOT support the email portion of GW 5.5.3 and newer. It will synch with the address books and calendaring, however. Who knows what will happen when we switch over to GW 6 as soon as that is out.

Novell just came out with a patch for this.

Unfortunately, the Novell patch doesn't do anything to fix the email synch problem between PumaTech's Intellisync and GroupWise versions above 5.5.2 - I've talked to Puma's support people about this, and I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a new version either.

What really bugs me is that I'm 100% sure that I've seen an article about a fix for this somewhere. It claimed that there was a patch to allow synch of email in Groupwise up to version 5.5.4! If anybody has seen this, please let me know!

You can setup Oulook or Outlook Express to handle your e-mail and the Palm will sync with those just fine. I've tried intellisync and it works, but I didn't like having to add an extra product to do what can be done with a native program.

I want to sync my palm 505 with groupwise on a mac using a USB port. Does anyone know of a software that will do this with a Mac G4?

I just set up a new Handspring Visor Prizim and Hotsynced it to both ACT2000 for the Address Book, To-Do List and Date Book and Groupwise 5.5.4 for the Mail. The Visor runs the Palm OS and I used the instructions from TID 2945995. Everything worked great, it downloaded 274 messages to the Mail and >1700 entrys to the Address book.
