Can I make a call from my cell phone and display my desk pubnum?

In most PBX's I have worked with I can set up a way to call into the PBX and then make an outside call. This displays either a predefined number or my desk number depending on the system.
Is the HiPath 400 V7 capable of such a thing?​

You could breakout from a voicemail or some other processing box but it would be a feature of the voicemail, not the 4K. 4K would just be routing calls as per normal. Setting it up so that it's secure needs careful attention, you don't want to find 2000 international calls showing on your logger one morning.

4K supported the feature you are talking about via analog trunks, if you dialled into one it would answer and return dial tone, and you could dial out. I've not seen it for a long time, again, security is a problem, more trouble than it's worth. If you had an analog trunk you would probably be able to get it working. I don't remember any similar method for ISDN which was native to 4K (no extra box needed).

Yes, same deal - my voicemail system will allow you to connect with a cell app (if you're allowed the feature) and then dial out and it will dial out on the company line (giving the voicemail pilot number). I remember the other feature, but not clearly, like it might have been called DNIS, but as mentioned, it was a HUGE security problem if it was not problerly secured and implemented, so as far as I know that is disabled by default now. The other one that burned me once or twice was people calling in and saying they were AT&T and they were testing for line troubles, and could the person please transfer the call to a test number, which was of course overseas. I have that blocked 2 ways now - we don't subscribe to international dialing anymore, and if we did it is blocked by LCRCOS.

It's called DISA, probably means something like direct inward station access I suppose. Something like that. It involves connecting the analog trunk to slma. I had a doc on it somewhere but I can't find it, probably on some old hard disc from 15 years ago.

Yea, DISA was popular on the legacy PBX's and could be controlled with a PIN.
I'll most likely just wait until this user is on our Cisco platform and then she can have Jabber on her laptop and cell phone with her desk number. Much simpler and easier.

Still, some general things about PIN in 4k:

Personal identification number (PIN)
The PIN is used for personal identification of a person to the system. Each station number can be assigned any number of PINs. The length of a particular PIN type is determined centrally. The PIN length may or may not be the same for the types of PINs described above. Each PIN (execpt COSXCD) must be unique throughout the system.
The same class of service changeover code (COSXCD) can be assigned to any number of stations. When a COSXCD that was previously assigned to a station is configured, the system outputs advisory message H38 to notify the user of this fact, and the command is still executed. If the user does not want the COSXCD to be assigned to multiple stations, he can delete the COSXCD for the station with DEL-PERSI:TYPE=PIN,PIN=number,STNO=number ;
In the case of PINC, it must also be determined at which position on the magnetic/chip card the PINC begins. (PIN pointer)
A 'Class of PIN' (COPIN) must be introduced for each type of PIN to be able to implement the PIN display feature and to be able to differentiate between the various types of PINs.
The COPIN defines the characteristics and functions of individual PIN applications such as the type of PIN (PINM, PINC, COSXCD, PCODE etc.), PIN length, PIN texts and various flags used to disable or enable specific functions.
The "class of PIN" (COPIN) is used for each PIN type in order to implement the PIN display feature and in order to distinguish between the different PIN types.
The characteristics of the COPINs (1 through 15) are summarized in the so-called COPIN table in which the following default values are assigned to the type of PIN:
