I have never used Quicken, but a friend of mine has asked me for help with a problem.
He made a backup copy of his data and tried to load it on a new computer that he bought. He gets a message saying that the data installed successfully, but he says his data isn't there......has anyone encountered this problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I don't know what version of Quicken he's using, but I would ASSUME the backup and recovery process is probably pretty much the same in each version?
Thanks, in advance, for any and all suggestions. CarolOB

he may have to click icon bar in view menu and click invoices and then it will be there.

that is my guess.

Thank you. I'll pass that information along to him. CarolOB

Several questions for you to ask:

Original
1. was it copied or backed up using Quicken?
if copied, there are about 5 files needed (depends of stock quote is used etc)

New
1. assuming original was a backup - did he use the Restore from File (need to do this from a blank opening)

How they were copied and backed up make a big difference.

Thank you for your reply. I had already asked him whether he did a copy or a backup and he said he had done a backup and restore.
I should be hearing back from him late this afternoon and hopefully the answer will be what slammer14 suggested.
Thanks again. CarolOB
