Hello again, we have a MICS-XC-5.0-StarTalk and I posted about 2 firms and 4 hunt groups in:
and I did use a T7316 as a 2nd CAP (for our company and it works fine).

I'm now told a receptionist will soon answer for both firms and I need to put all 13 lines on the main 7324-CAP-KIM but that I should color them so she answers correctly. (I've no problem with that).

Question-1: After a call goes FNA on the CAP, what settings decide which AA-tree will be accessed based on a particular line group?

Question-2: (it's related) At present, I'm using AnswerDN for sales to pickup calls from that 2nd CAP. So when I merge our lines onto set 221, answerDN won't work (in error, we may answer the other company's calls ..right?) So now, would I use a group pick-up instead?

Thanks again!

Additional Info: Hunt groups 3 & 4 ring Parts and Service (each with 2 lines), use separate line-pools, and appear on the CAP (but they don't ring there..)

Q 1
AA is controlled by Table/Lines in Voice Mail programming.
You need to tell the line to answer with Table X or Z

Q 2
Use Hunt Groups

Additional info: Im lost too! and not sure how it relates.

Suggest you call a vendor in to clean up your system.

Sorry, guess I tend to get verbose..

So the person at the CAP doesn't pick up, the set Forwards No Answer to VM. Am I seeing this right? or should I look for something in Lines?

On the system in Telco Features, VMsg tel#s, VMsg center 1
I see I can use line or routing tbl

On StarTalk in Admin, AA, Table, I see Grtg table:
Does the number I enter here need to sync with routing tbl?

Sorry guys, I'm just trying to wrap my head around what line parameters get passed from the MICS to StarTalk and how the terms used seem different.. already I see the menus are.

I'm doing this after-hours by a remote PC with NRU-10

I also see CCR admin, CCR tree in StarTalk. When I press 2 here, I see it wants me to build and record a new tree.. (since I'm remote, I should dial-in)

?? So is the CCR tree # I'm supposed to be building going to match up with something it gets from the MICS?

Maybe I need to stop and read a guide from Nortel.. I may be rushing this a bit.. I've done IT work for decades but, is there any manual (amongst many on the Nortel site) to get me closer?
