Here is the setup:

Site A: 406v2 3.0.44, voicemail pro, Auto Attendant
Site B: 406v2 3.1.29, incoming call route to Site A

Calls come into Site B which are sent to Site A's auto attendant. Once in the auto attendant, the caller dials a Site B user. The call then transfers to Site B but never rings to voicemail after the three rings.

BUT

If a user at Site A calls a user at Site B the call will go to voicemail after the three rings.

Any ideas why this be happenin?

Have you checked that SiteB under Voicemail is setup to LINE and contains the virtual trunk to SiteA?

Interesting, I just upgraded 2 406v2 to 3.1.29 from 3.0.59 connected via SCN to VMPro and now have the same issue!....

Well, I ran out of time testing and had to downgrade my SiteB to 3.0(59) and it seems voicemail is working just fine now. However, I did notice an odd message after the 3 or 4 rings on SiteB when on 3.1(29):

After downgrading I noticed the following message after the 3 or 4 rings on SiteB:

Maybe someone could help. Thanks!

My only option at this point was to setup an Assisted Transfer action and send it to voicemail after 15 seconds.

This seemed to fix the problem for now. The only difference is the caller will not hear ringing, they will hear MOH.

Looks like ill be holding off on the 3.1.29 upgrades till this is resolved!!

I wonder if VM rings and answers but you simply receive no voice path?

T4 tells me that all of the SCN bugs that were solved and implemented in 2.1.31xxx(private) will be rolled into the December 3.1 patch.

I bring this up since the problem that you have described sounds like one of the issues that have been solved but yet to be implemented in a GA fashion.

Where am I able to find the patches on Avaya's web site when they come out?

I've had a chance to toy around with this a bit more. After going from 3.0(59) to 3.1(29) and having the voicemail transfer across SCN not going back to the VMPro, I downgraded everything to 3.0(69) and still the same problem. I did notice that the Call Status kept showing a missed call every 4 rings as I continued to leave the call up ringing.

So, I decided to just downgrade the VMPro to 3.0(59) with the IPO's on 3.0(69)....and now the transfer issue to the remote IPO went away.

Anyone else have any suggestions? I'd rather bring them all up to a more recent build.

I am having the same problem since upgrading to 3.1.48. How would i setup my extensions for assisted transfer as opposed to direct transfer?
