Calling 999 from an SV9100 (UK)

Hello,

We're working on installing an SV9100 into a hotel and for one reason or another the system did not have the UK script applied to it before it was programmed, so we have all kinds of challenges to overcome.

The particular issue we're currently facing is that the hotel wants guests to be able to dial 999 to reach the UK emergency services without having to dial a 9 in front for an external line. Now I was thinking about using F-route to do that, setting 99x in the numbering plan as an F-route and then programming that F-route to take 999 calls out over the trunk group. But 9 is already set in the numbering plan as a trunk access code. I'm currently under the impression that having 9 and 99x in the numbering plan would clash (for example if somebody dials 999 I think the system might grab a trunk after seeing the first 9 dialled, and then output 99 to the trunk which obviously wouldn't go anywhere). Is that the case? Or can I have both in the numbering plan? Is there a better way of doing it? ARS is not in use on this system. I don't think we've run into this problem elsewhere so maybe there's something in the UK script that would have helped with this.

Thanks,

David

Hi
I set up some ARS's up on our system so we don't have the long delay when calling the outside line. The setup i'm using is as below.
26-02

TE Dial Data Service type Addit Data
001 0 F-Route Access 1 (National Number)
002 00 F-Route Access 3 (International Number)
003 999 F-Route Access 11 (Emergency)
004 @@@ F-Route Access 2 (Local Number)

44-05 F-Route Table 1
01- Trunk Group 1
09- Max Dialing Digits 11

44-05 F-Route Table 2
01- 1
09- 6

44-05 F-Route Table 3
01- 1
09- 16

44-05 F-Route Table 11
01- 1
09- 3

Not tried it but if you look at the #3 in my TE dial data you might be able to change that to just 99 and make the system add the last 9 in. The way I have it to call the 999 we still have to dial the 9 first for an outside line.

Thanks @LeeEng, I did do a search of the forum earlier today and came across your post from last year with regards to the ARS, as you mentioned above. I might need to go down the ARS route so thanks for the suggestion.

Cheers,

Dave
