I have a user that is the first point in a coverage path. They are complaining about caller ID being confused between the 2 different DIDs and would like the call log on the set to refelct only direct calls to them...not the covered calls. Does that make sense and is that possible?

Thanks everyone

The phone's call log doesn't distinguish between calls to a phone directly, or a call that is sent via coverage. To the phone, it's a call you should have answered, and it's telling you that you didn't.

The best thing to do is tell them to press send-all-calls before they leave their desk. This makes the system skip over them in the coverage path.

This is the list of call types and different icons you'll see in a call log for a 9600 set.

Thank is what I had told them. I just wanted to be sure I did not miss anything. Appreciate your insight.

Depending on your software release I believe on the latest 96xx phones there is something in the 46xxsettings file regarding this.

Just a hunch but they have done a lot with call log options recently.

Take a look at the settings file-search for "log" or something similar-there may be something there for you
