Hello,

We have the IP 412, and have a seperate local and long distance T1. We have been having issues with the caller ID not being passed to Cingular cell phones over the local T1. The caller ID is passed fine to any other carriers (local or long distance). It is also sent to Cingular phones when using the long distance T1 (dialing the full number with area code).

Anyone have any idea why this would be happening?

Thanks!

What does your [9]1N shortcode look like?

If you can send me the example I might be able to help.

ShortCode: [9]1N;
Telephone Number: [1N]
Line Group: 20 (long distance T1)
Feature: Dial

I should note that i did some searching on here yesterday and found some similar items (yes..after i posted), though they didn't solve the issue. One suggestion was to add Si in the Telephone number field. When i did, it would send out our main number (2214), rather than the DID for that extension. I tried it with just the S, and same thing. I tried with just the 'i', got a busy signal.

Thanks in advance for the help.

make a user short code for every user that looks like so:

[9]N;
Ns then the did number ie. 7243439125
then dial
then the group number

Tried it...many different way JConrad. It didn't do anything for me. Still showing up unknown.

If these are T1 circuits, and NOT PRI circuits, then the "s" or "si" will have no effect. With striaght T1, as with analog, the outbound caller ID and everything associated with it are controlled by the telco.

Can you confirm what type of circuit this is. mforrence is correct, if this is not a ISDN PRI you can not do this.

the "si" is something like 'send international', the "e" will insert the extension number after 617555.
