Have an IP Office 500 6.0,
Getting solicitations and demand calls for "uknown" on caller ID.
I am capturing calls with numbers and redirecting to a announcement ext. But I cant seem to capture caller ID that comes in as uknown. Is there a way to grab this in ICR?

whatever you see is whatever you can route even if it is the lack of something.
I route "anonymous" on my SIP trunk to an announcement so that auto dialers get sorted out and real people that just block their number can press a number to get to me.
If you do a monitor trace you will see the calls and what teh system sees them as and then create an ICR to route it wherever you want it to.

Important note though I have a PRI T-1
typing "uknown" doesnt seem to effect the ability to capture.
Trying a capitalization of the word now.
Any diffrent fields or captions I need to enter?

my settings are:

line group :0
incomming number: *95 (its used as an ID of the number rerouted)
incommong sub address: (blank)
incomming CLI: UKNOWN

Did you try a "?"

Code:
Incoming CLI: Default = Blank (Match all)
Enter a number to match the caller's ICLID provided with the call. This field is matched left-to-right. Number options are:

· Full telephone number.

· Partial telephone number, for example just the area code.

· ! : Matches calls where the ICLID was withheld.

· ? : for number unavailable.

· Blank for all.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

remember that calls coming in from "Unknown" may be legitimate calls originating from a location that cannot provide a CLI (this is not the same as "withheld" where the user has deliberately suppressed it) blocking 'Unknown' may result in genuine callers being unable to get through.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

One important goal I forgot was how to redirect on a spacific extionsion with a DID routing unwanted calls to a voicemail or announcement or receptionist. Is this possible?

To clarify, the CEO has a DID which somtime gets calls from unwanted solicitations can we take spacific inbound numbers and route them to a receptionist so they are not denied but filtered?

Not sure if this is a seperate thread but its definitly in the caller ID routing and control prgramming.

Wow Thanks for the direction, I have alot of scenarios that can cover. One last one

Can I block a number or "unknown" ID tag from going TO a spacific extension(via DID) without blocking it to the entire system. I have a system running two busineses that one has a receptionsit and will filter "unknown" calls and doesnt want them blocked but the other wants them to go to an announcement to unblock the number to allow the call to go through so to screen soliciters.

I know its really custom, just trying to keep everyone happy.
