I have Callcentric setup to allow incoming calls to my IP500 R11, but I cannot get outside calls to go through. On my J169, it says call rejected when I type in the number I wish to dial. I think it is a problem with the shortcode setup, but I am not entirely sure.

Shortcode: 9N
Feature: Dial
Telephone Number: N
Line GroupID: 0

I want to be able to dial 9 beofre the number. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
is it giving you this error after you dial all the numbers or after 2 or 3 digits?
what are you using in the SIP trunk URI, use internal data or Auto? what is the outgoing group id on the sip trunk?
Some provider will expect you to send them the 11 or 10 digits. How many numbers you are dialing?
 
Now when I dial the numbers, it waits until the timeout and it just drops the call. I am using auto in the Local URI and contact. The outgoing gorup ID is 0. I tried dialing 9-1XXXXXXXXXX and I got nothing, it just frops the call. Ive been dialing the full 10 digits plus 1.
 
Check in monitor what happens and what it sends to the trunk.

The shortcode should be

If the Dial Delay Count is 0, a ; instructs the system to wait for the number to be fully dialed, using the Dial Delay Time or the user dialing #, to indicate completion and then acting on the short code.

If the Dial Delay Count is not zero, the dialing is only evaluated when # is pressed. The majority of North-American telephony services use en-bloc dialing. Therefore the use of a ; is recommended at the end of all dialing short codes that use an N before routing those calls to a trunk or ARS. This is also recommended for all dialing where secondary dial tone short codes are being used.

I changed the shortcode, but I am still seeing REJECTED on the J169 phone screen when I dial in the number. I looked in monitor, but cannot see what I should be looking for.

Who control the caller ID? IPO or the Provider? Some provider will reject calls without caller ID? create another sip uri with your caller ID instead of Auto with a new outgoing group id and update your short code.

Also, do you receive incoming calls fine? would you please open system status and go to the sip line and check if its registered? I see Authentication error in the logs. how your sip trunk registering? using username/password or by IP?
