All,
on the soft console, you can add a key "CW-ringoff" to stop the beep on the second call waiting at the console.

I know this from the threads here and the avaya docs.

Does this key have to be hit every time on each incoming call ? Does it stop all beeps on the calls waiting ?

I have to implement this for a customer who is complaining that the beep for the second call is muting her headset for the current call that she is on .

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Let me guess, wireless headset.

Just make sure the button is programmed on the attd in the programming first. You have to activate it once and you should only hear one beep. There are also other ringoff options like re and in, just make sure what comes in to the att.

When you have attd vectoring on your system, just make a vdn and a vector. This way the reception never gets a second call.
The second call is queued in the vector then and will go to the attd when it becomes available.

You can also give the caller some nice announcements, like night / holiday greatings and a greating in hold.

Hope it helps.

i implemented this and it does need to be only turned on once.

But now there is no showing of a second call going to the attendant. The attendant would be on the first call but would be unaware of a second call.

Am i missing something basic ?

thanks for any replies
