I am working on an IP Office 500 v2 8.1 (67) and just got call queuing setup. I have it setup with the calls coming into hunt group A with a single user assigned to it. The group overflows to group B with two users in it. If all three users (both groups) are on the phone, any new calls gets queued as expected. If the user in group A puts their current call on hold, the queued call rings on the next line. Is there some sort of "Calls on hold means busy" setting, or some timing setting I can adjust?

Once you put a call on hold you are considered free and available for a call. Working as intended here and I do not believe there is any setting to change this behavior. You can still pick back up a call on hold instead of answering the incoming call. I guess the question is what is the issue with how its behaving?

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Under User, Telephony Tab, select Busy on Held. This shows the user as busy when a call is on hold.

There is a "busy on held" setting, once you have multiple appearance keys on an extn the system keeps prompting you to turn it off, so someone will have, just turn it back on and ignore the prompts when they appear :)

I always set the 'busy on held' via the user rights.

That way you cannot switch it of via the prompt.

The prompt keeps coming, but no matter what you choose, the busy on held keeps activated.

Oh well I swung and missed on that completely.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
