Call Pilot "the other person has hung up"

We recently changed our phone switch to a CS1000 and Call pilot voicemail . Since making this change we now get the rather annoying voice message where the message is actually the wonderful BT person saying "the other person has hung up". I don't expect this to be a Call pilot option or problem as it's like the phone switch doesn't hang up the line when the other person does. This is why Call Pilot records the message, it records what it believes to be a valid message.
The thing is how do I change this? The users are really starting to get frustrated at collecting these messages that are not proper messages.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

Had similar problem with Meridian Mail, Is it EURO ISDN?

Spoke to Cable & Wireless about it. here's the
engineer's reply:

"I think we have the classic Answering Machine/Voice Mail problem of a
cleared call being held to "The Other Person Has Cleared" because the
called party won't clear while there is voice on the line.

Presently checking <--isdn id was here--> parameter 9 (End Of Call
Indicator) 09:21G Parameter is set to 0 (No Special Treatment).
Have changed parameter to 2 (Suppress OUF Indication)
This should have cured the problem."

So contact the carrier, and the should be able to change the settings on the euro to stop this happening

depends on the trunk type more then the cp or switch.. i would make sure that supervision in set to no and disconect (ndec/fdec) are set to eth.. more common with loop start trunks.. if that is the case, change those to a more pbx style trunk, ground wink or imm all will work

Hello, everyone and thanks for your responses. With regards to the DCH I'm afraid I am not familiar with this and so could you please explain what it is and I get it, then I'm sure I would be more than happy to post it :)
Thanks again everyone

you can monitor the call from the d BUT you will not see much,, your on a pri? (must be if you have a d)... check with your provider, what are they sending for a disconnect?

i've never seen a pri stay up past calling party disconnect..

John I checked into it, and it seems that MMail isn't supported on Succession 5.0
:(

But the rooms that are 'occupied' in the mmail hms still have all the features working. The problem exists when trying to have PMS change the room status through the interface.

Is there a manual way to change the Room status in Mmail?
If so, I can have all the room status set on occupied, so that they'll have their features, until we replace the Mmail HMS with HMS400

Pro reffers to my company, not my status

I ask because I've had a similar problem where you get a fair bit of silence on the end of every message and you shorten the incomming timer to 2 secs, resolving the problem. Can't quite remember the timer but will know it if I see it.

hello,

As I posted earlier the easiest way to resolve this issue is to contact BT / Carrier and get them to change the End Of Call Indicator setting.

you are quite right, I will look to see what BT say. i will post up my findings :)
Thanks for the nudge ;)
Gareth

I have spoken with BT and they have made a change from the default setting of 0 to 4 (send dead tone) on the end of call indicator.
We will see how this goes :) I will update later (probably next week now).
Thanks

You can change the room status in MMail. ONe of the cables off the octopus cable, that is connected to the terminal is a GAC terminal (Guest Administration Console), Just plug it in to the terminal and log in. I don't know the default passwords off the top of my head, but they are listed in the Admin book.

Then just check in and out each room as needed. we had to do this when a customer created their own PMS system. It's real easy and self explanitory once you get logged in.
