Hello everybody. I put in a CICS 7.0 and a Call Pilot 100. The customer has 3 lines and 6 stations. They would like to have 5 voice mail boxes on the call pilot. They want the 3 lines to be answered by the call pilot after hours and on weekends. Message should say something like “press xx to leave a message for bob, press yy to leave a message for jim ect... So I should have the call pilot AA answer the 3 lines after 4 rings? Should I also setup CCR? I tried to stumble through it today and had little success. Also I didn’t quite understand how to set the greeting table. Could not figure out the time chart. Business hours are Mon-Fri 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Any help on this would be appreciated. This site is awesome

Thanks

The time tables will be for different times of day (ex.goodmorning, good afternoon, good evening)

The rest you can say: If you know your party's extension dial any time or press pound for the directory. This will work right out of the box but I would strongly recomend reading the installers guide and the user guide, and get to know system very well before installing these systems.

So what you are saying endless is that i can just create the mail boxes and have AA answer the lines and record a company greeting that says "enter you parties extion or press pound for the directory"? i don't have to use CCR?

yes you dont have to use the ccr tree. The ccr(custom call routing) can be used to set up a menue, a ext. or int. transfer, an info point, or leave message point.

From what you stated above this is not needed.

The way the system answers can always answer after x amount of rings or you can set up a night or hunt group deppending on your needs.

thanks endless i will give it a try tomorrow. i have never installed a call pilot before, kinda stumbling through it. could you explain to me about how to have the AA answer automatically after 5:00 pm monday through friday and stop answering at 7:00 am on monday through friday and have it answer all the time on sat and sunday? i don't quite get the greeting table times.

thanks alot for your help
