Hi guys,

I m having a problem with Call Listenning which used to work fine prior to 4.2, i have the shortcut setup as follow:

· Short Code: *99*N#
· Telephone Number: N
· Line Group ID: 0.
· Feature: CallListen

The users are all in the same hunt group and have the "Monitor Group" set the same; They all have "Can Intrude" set to on and "Cannot be intruded" set to off.

I just get a Busy tone when trying to listen in.

Anything i am missing?

Thanks,

Every time i have done it i used user short codes not system short codes. Have you tried that.

I have several customers using the call listen feature running 4.2(11) and the system short codes work fine. The only difference is I created a different short code (*54*N#) but that would not be an issue. Have you checked your error log to see if there are any conflicting codes? Otherwise, try to delete the short code and create a new one, possibly using a different code other than *99

Check these settings:

Both users, Listener and Listenee, have to be in the same "Monitor Group" under Telephony and Supervisor. The location of this has changed.

The listener has to have "Can intrude" checked

The listenee has to NOT have checked "Can not be intruded."

(Maybe you know this already)

It works for us, with these correct settings

The listenee doesnt have to have a monitor group set under Telephony supervisor, only the listener, but they do have to be in the hunt group that the listener has set under that tab, which from the OPs post is appears they do.

Yriou please dont take this the wrong way but I have to ask - can you confirm that by "cannot be intruded" set to off that the box is unticked - Ive had one of our customers before tell me they had set that to off, they thought ticking the box did that.

We use Avaya IPO IP 500, with 10 SIP trunk licenses enabled on the unit.
I have experienced constant instability on the SIP trunk when upgrading to 4.2.14. Incoming calls to the SIP trunk lasted for like 10 minutes or less and then, we were only able to performe outgoing calls. All calls received were there, conected with our agents untill one of them decided to hang up. And then the system was not receiving incoming SIP calls anymore.
Then I downgraded it to IPO 4.2.11 and caos was gone. All incoming SIP calls came back to normality. But now, my 4610 IP phone, which makes part of a 3 extensions hunt group, is constantly stealing huntgroup calls, and auto-answering them at the very moment the caller dials the huntgroup last digit. And it makes a Conference beep when it picks up the huntgroup call. I'm curious if some one can give me some ideas what might be wrong.

@NoelOhashi
this is the 2nd thread you have put your problems down on.

If you expect help I suggest you start a new Thread.

Thanks all, i beleive it is now fixed, the Line ID selected wasnt the correct one as the calls were coming in via an IP link i have setup;

Again, thanks all for the responses!
