I have a strange situation and cannot determine how this is happening. I have a DID that when dialed from an external number is going straight to the voicemail box for the caller to leave a message, however, if you dial the extension internally it goes right to the individual who answers. This started happening all of a sudden on Saturday afternoon, no changes to this TN have been made. What is also puzzeling is that the person swears that when the mailbox recording begins the caller is supposed to be given an option to leave a message or talk to someone on the same DN that was dialed. How is that possible?

thanks in advance.

PRT the DNB of that EXT and Post here.

Change your cls to htd and fnd on this phone and see what happens from inside and out. That should tell you if it is the tn config or not...

So you dial NPA-NXX-2608 and it goes right to Vmail?

This is probably not very helpful, but here is an extract from my switch of one of our dispatch phones...

I don't think any of the cls differences would cause your problems, except maybe ird, nid and old. You could flip those and see, but I doubt that would be the fix.

Mike G., MCSE MCDBA CCNA

I do not know if you ever got this issue resolved ,however 1 thing that I always over looked when I was doing Nortel was DND block in LD 26.So go to LD 26 and print dnd and see if the extension is in there ,if so try and remove .

Thanks,
