I have a client that is having problems with call forwarding being intermittent. Every once in a while a call won't be forwarded and will be rolled to voicemail. I can confirm that in the call forwarding profiles that the forward always command is set in the system. Anyone have an idea why 95% of the calls get forwarded, but about 5% get rolled to voicemail?

Device that it is forwarded to is busy

There is a COS option to allow CFFM to busy extension

Thanks, I think I had it set up improperly to begin with. I was trying to save a license and programmed the extension as a multicall instance on every phone in the business, so in a way it was a virtual extension and set the voicemail as message only and the forwarding was accomplished with the remote forward codes. There is no way to assign COS with that method, so I will try it as a hot desk user and see if that solves the problem. Thanks kwbMitel for your help! I'll report back if that works.

Actually, a little known fact is that the multical buttons assumes the COS of the set that it appears on that has the lowest PLID.

Why don't you start with telling us what you are trying to accomplish. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to troubleshoot someone elses "Solution" when more often than not there is a much simpler solution without all the "Issues"

I have a small company that has five handsets with extensions 1060 to 1064. I programmed all of their did's to go to extension 2101 in system speed call and programmed two 2101 multicall instances for each handset. In the evenings I programmed a button to do a third party call forward and when they arrived the next day they would do a third party cancel call forward. As stated in the first post 95% of the calls were being forwarded, but from time to time one would not forward but would be transferred to the internal voicemail. After reading your post, I reprogrammed that extension as a hot desk user so that I could assign cos. With your most recent post, I am not certain if that will work since 1060 has the same cos profile as the new 2101 hot desk user.

It looks like you are right. If two calls come in at the same time, one gets forwarded and the other goes to internal voice mail. If I wait just a few seconds between calls, they both get forwarded. In the COS options I have enabled the following items:

Call Forwarding - Accept
Call Forwarding (External Destination)
Call Forwarding (Internal Destination)
Call Forward - Override
Call Forwarding Reminder Ring (CFFM and CFIAH only)
Third Party Call Forward Follow Me - Accept
Third Party Call Forward Follow Me - Allow

I don't see anything that is call forward follow me when there is a busy extension, but I think you are right that it won't forward if the extension is busy.

What is the destination of the forward?
External?
Internal dn?
Other?

External. I also tried increasing the call forward timer from 15 sec to 20 sec and I still have the same problem.

I have a pri, so I have 23. I am pretty confident that there is plenty of room with trunk capacity. That was a good suggestion, and I appreciate the help.

Have you tried forwarding from call re-routing rather than third party? So revert to the multicall and program the DDI in call rerouting in night service to the external number (possibly via speedcall)?(not sure why you want two instances of multicall on each instrument though....?) This of course means you have to use a night service but that is as easy as dialling the codes (can't be done on a key)

I am sure I could forward to the external number in speedcall, but the customer doesn't have access to this type of programming. I am doing two instances of Multicall so that if they are on a line they can see the flashing of another call coming in.

The option I was thinking about earlier was Call Reroute after CFFM to Busy Destination which doesn't apply in this case.

I've seen the System Option "DPNSS/QSIG Diversion Enabled" cause strange issues. Might be worth changing from its current setting

I just enabled DPNSS/QSIG and I'll let you know if it works.

It appears to be working. I am not sure if it was extending out the call forward timer or if it was enabling enabled DPNSS/QSIG but my motto has always been "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Thanks again for everyone's input. I really appreciate everyone's expertise.
