Hi all,

I have a meridian 11C and i'm trying to forward my DN 3311 to my cell phone. When i call from another DN it says "Release and try again" and from an outside line it goes directly to the reception.

I changed CLS to CFXA, CFHA and SFA
and OPT on RDR_DATA and FTR_DATA to CFF
and Net Data - TRNX-YES
EXTT-YES

My TN is as follows:

REQ: prt
TYPE: 2616

Please help me figure out what's wrong

Thanks

How do i list all the NCOS on the phone system?

I changed my NCOS to 9 but still the same problem

that will show you the same list everyone else has, to see which is in use there is a place to prt NCOS, I can't remember where - ACE knows.

to see what is on phonesets - ld 81 lst
feat: ncos 1

the do 2,3,4,5 etc...

The majority of our phones are on NCOS 0 because setup to be used with a code to dial out.

only some are on NCOS 4

and modems are on NCOS 6

Is the only way to make the call forward work to change the NCOS?

No, you're forwarding long distance which is 11 digits. I am assuming you have a 4 digit ACOD on your trunks, therefore you need at least a total of 15 digits in the CFW key on your phone, up the 12 to 16 and you should be fine.

The only other thing you could check if that doesnt work is the tgar on your set.

TGAR is only a problem if you can't make long distance calls at all.

Make the phone a NCOS 4 if other phones that have an NCOS 4 can dial that number then you have everything else right.

You only Need the NCOS that can dial LD, CLS CFXA and the CDB (CFF) you didn't need to change the others.

This is something else I saw wrong.
Also on your CLS you have FBA (Forward on BUSY TO ATT), you should only have FBA if you want your calls to go to the ATT if you are on the phone.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

re-read ace's post.. the most common block is cfo in the cdb. that looks at the ncos of the inbound trunk for cfxa..

the ncos of the phone has to be high enough to make the call, no higher... if ncos 9 is not defined then it;s default is the same as ncos 0...

if you can call your cell from the phone and the phone has cfxa... leave the phone alone...

is you cdb opt cff? let us know about those two and we can check one other thing,,

that targ on the routes can not match... if your using the same route inbound and outbound... post that rdb

As someone else said; FBA (CLS) must be chg'd to FBD. Also, is 1514 listed as a valid NPA in LD 90? Should be programmed as an NPA, but can also be programmed as an SPN. Do a PRT on both NPA and SPN, if you do not find it in either of those, add it to your NPA's, then test dial.

is 1514 listed as a valid NPA in LD 90

tried to cover that with "can you dial the number from the phone?"

that alone takes ncos and npa/nxx out of the picture... six responses since rich answered a question... i usually stay with a problem untill it's working

I'm reading this with interest as I have someone who will be recovering at home from radiation treatments and we'll need to forward his office phone to his cell phone.

One thing I noticed in the CLS on the posted TN is CTD, conditionally toll denied. I forget what these 6 settings all do without reading the book (FR1, FR2, CTD, UNR, etc.). Try changing CTD to UNR (unrestricted) and let us know how it works. I was unsuccessful in a previous attempt to allow CFXA to a cell phone.

Print NCTL in ld 87 this will give you the FRL of a given NCOS, then you need to look at the RLI in ld 86 and see what FRL is set at.

Sorry guys i was sick for 3 days and couldn't answer the posts.

Yes John the phone can dial the cell number and also LD but with a code.
I've also changed CLS to FBD and UNR

But still the same issue. Calls from outside to my number go to security instead of the cell number.

Thanks

And i've changed cdb opt to cff

Thanks

Were banging our heads againest the wall here. Just raising the NCOS to a 9 doesn't mean the phone will work, because NCOS 9 may be a FRL 0 and that won't let the call go though.

Goto LD 81 and do
REQ CNT
CUST 0
enter until FEAT
FEAT NCOS
Then ENTER Until it prints and then POST HERE
