Call Forward Not Working

Hello again IP OFFICE Community,

Well now that everything is working I cant seem to get the call forward to work.
I have a VMPro AA on the incoming call route.

I want users who's Ext. is key'd in at the AA menu to be able to forward their ext to a cell phone or outside line.

I somehow remember there being a shortcode or a need to enter any forwarding numbers to a users profile. (unless I'm just sleep deprived)

So far if I use *07*N, the call will go right to Ext's VM instead of even ringing the ext first as it normally would without the call forward set.

Any ideas?

Is the Inhibit Off Switch on or OFF on the Systen /Telephony tab? Is it system wide or just certain users?

Should it be ON or OFF? Right now its unchecked.
 
Unchecked will allow forwarding off the network. I just had this issue with a remote IPO and come to find out that the number they really wanted to forward was a hunt group extension. My IPO is running 3.1 software. Later software version have an option ont he user form that also will restrict the phone from forwarding off the network. You would find it under the USR/Telephone tab. Inhibit Off-switch forward tranfer should be unchecked...

They are all uncheck but no dialing out. Its a 4 port analog line setup so its not like there arent avail lines to dial out.
One thing which is odd is they have Verizon Centrex? which apparently they need to dial a 9 to dial out regardless of the phone system. I had to add an extra 9 to all the shortcodes just to dial out. I wonder if that may also be a factor here.

 
I think you got it. Cntrex lines do require another 9 to dial out..

 
Well the problem is is i added a 9 and it still wont dial out.
So thats kind of a moot point. I just thought maybe there was another shortcode to edit with an additional 9?

 
Did you check allow outgoing transfer on each line under analog options
 
Is that the same as Allow Analog Trunk to Trunk?
 
Yeah still doesn't work, calls just go straight to VM instead.
I must be missing something....
 
I should have read your post better. *07 just sets the number. You need to use *01 to turn fwd unconditional on. The way the IPO does it with code is crap. Its better to us a button w/ call fwd all set. Works great.
 
I would have programed a button however the Phones they bought dont have any buttons to program.

Besides that when I use Manager to turn it on, it still doesnt work.

There has gotta be something I am missing....
