Call Forward not working issue

Hi all.

I have an issue where a number I can dial from my phone does not work when I set the number as FDN or a manual call forward.
Making a call to a colleague on the other site works perfectly, but when the same number is set as FDN or a manaul call forward I just recieve an unobtainable tone.

The number I am dialling is 865xxxxx

865 is a DSC and xxxxx is an extension on another site.

Any help woould be much apprichated. Thanks.

A couple of things you can try

Change '865' to a (TSC) Trunk Steering Code and see if that works
But my feeling is you can't Call Forward to a Steering Code

Maybe you could try forwarding to the Route ACOD (Access Code) and then the DN and make sure you have CLS 'CFXA' on the phone profile set

OK so I have done some more testing.
I have another DSC 861 xxxx which works fine, I can set my call forward to 8616750 and it works fine.

Now I am using the same RLI and Route for the new 865 as I have always been using for 861, however the new DSC has an extra digit as the new site is using 5 digit extensions. Is there something in the RLI maybe that is affecting the number of digits string?

An issues has also transpired that sometimes when dialling 865 xxxxx the call fails, is there a timer or something in my programming somewhere that might need to be changed?

Check you DMI set in the RLI you may need another RLI and DMI specific to your new DSC numbers

Thanks, but there is no DMI on this RLI. We send all digits to the gateway.

The 865 DSC has a FLEN of 8. All extensions at remote site are 5 digits.

Just cuz you can call it doesn't mean when you forward your phone to it that it will work. Please post your phone build as well.

The calls route and fail when just calling also, not just when trying to forward.

What 5 digits are they using at the other site if the number you are calling 865xxxx, is the 5 digits at the other site 5xxxx?
It sounds like you need a DMI that deletes the leading 2 digits .....

Extension range at other site is 50000-59999

865 XXXXX AND 861 XXXX both go to the same cisco voip gateway. 861 plus the 4 digit extension works perfect and has done for years. There is no dmi on the route for this e.g. DMI 0.

865 requires a 5 digit extension after it, the FLEN in the DSC accounts for this (flen 8), it then uses the same RLI and ROUTE as 861, but there are issues with a percentage of calls failing with NU tone.
