Call forward no answer 3

[kattr11]

I would like to program extension 209 to forward to ext. 7204 if there’s no answer after three or four rings. This extension does not have voice mail and 7204 does, and there is always someone available to pick up 7204 if the person at 209 is away from thier desk.

I programmed FTR FDN 7204, but it is not working. Is there another CLS that needs to be set as allowed?

Print and post your RDR_DATA in the customer data block. I think it may be yout FNAD prompt set to hunt so it will look at what is programmed for the HUNT prompt on the set to determine where to go.

also, I see in your CLS, you are HTD, but have HUNT 400, you should change the CLS to HTA

would it fly if he set HTD to HTA as he has hunt programmed.(even though it is for a busy condition)

I'm wondering, if 7204 is a valid ext, why is fdn working??
I think I would try HUNT to 7204 and X FTR FDN 7204 and chg CLS TO HTA, just to see what happens. If you can post your RDR block as asked, we can look at what you have. Prt RDR in load 21

I set Hunt to 7204 and FTR FDN 7204 and changed teh CLS to HTA. The call goes to extension 7204 but not to 7204's V-MAIL. How do I set that up?

It will revert to the orginally dialed number, even if it has no vm. You'll have to trick the switch

209 currently does not have a vm box. Are you saying that I should create one and set the Revert DN to 7204?

I'm saying if 209 is the orginally dialed number & forward/hunts to 7204, 7204 will not control it if unanswered, a call will always go back to the DN of the Originally dialed (marped)numbers set for instruction.

I think someone can give you a workaround, might involve a go between with a marped number for mail, I can't remember that stuff, sorry.

You have to put SFA in the class of service and then in voicemail add 209 as an ext in the mailbox of 7204. That will take the call to the mailbox for 7204.

I see...so the line will ring and ring at the orginally dialed numer since it no longer hunts to 400(v-mail).

looks like it should fna, hta does not control forward no answer on any switch i've worked on.. if you call it, it rings x number of times.. and does not forward anywhere?.. do you have that feature working anywhere?

if someone is always at the fdn target then can use use rnpg?

maybe add 209 as a MW DN in mail? or just build a box for 209

The suggestion on changing cls sfd to sfa on both sets (209 and 7204) was the resolution.

did you add 209 as an ext dn in the mb of 7204, if not 209 will (should) fna to mail it will not subscride to mail.. (fyi)
