I need to create a call flow that will ring its primary hunt group for 4 rings, if no answer ring the alternate hunt group for 2 rings, if no answer ring the main switch board and if after hours simply go to the primary hunt group's voicemail. In voice mail pro, I was looking at "Route by Call status" function, but I don't think that will do the trick. Which function should I be using?

Thanks.

Just use the overflow option in the huntgroup.
Voicemail can be done by time profiles in the ipo or vmpro (conditions)

Thanks. That sounds much simpler.

It is :)
Sometimes it is much more simple then you think.

There is still a problem. The alternate hunt group receives it own calls (branch office). If I were to change their overflow mode at accommodate this call flow, wouldn't that affect all their incoming calls? Then all their incoming calls would go to our main switchboard after 2 rings. How can I avoid that?

You need to setup the overflow group in the first group

So you have 3 groups

the main group has group 2 and 3 added in to the overflow group.

You do not configure 1 overflow group and then the last group in the second group.

Just put the last overflow group in more then once.
So

HG; 100 Group1

extension; 101,102,103

Overflow; HG Group2,HG Group3,HG Group3,HG Group3,HG Group3,HG Group3,HG Group3,HG Group3,HG Group3

So this way it wall keep overflowing to HG Group3 every X seconds of the overflow timer.

Bas is right.

If you do not then it will go back to the main group after it is finished with the list of groups.
