Hi all,

Looking for some advice on adding call barring to a Mitel 3300.

I believe this is done in COR - do i simply need to add COR 4 to the extensions i want this to be effective on or do i need to determine which numbers i wish to bar in the COR first? I assumed these may be set already but may not be the case.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks!!

Here's a quick and dirty way to restrict a call to internal calling.
Find a COR that isn't being used.
Assign it to the phones you want to bar.
Then go to the MAX digits dialed, find the new COR you just assigned and put a 4 there. The extension can only dial numbers with 4 digits.

Now, this doesn't help you if you only want to certain numbers. If that's the case then you will have to set up your ARS to do that.

Here's a link to one 'how-to' that I'm aware of. It's geared for the U.S. and Toll Fraud but you may be able to apply the same principals for your area.

Dry Aquaman

Depends what COR 4 is setup for. If its been already established as COR can only dial local ( for example ), then yes you just assign COR 4 to the appropriate sets. If you haven't setup CORs already you might have to go through dryaquamans information first.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Very useful information, thanks guys.

Will give this a go and give you a shout if i need any help.

Thanks again
