Buttons not working on Attendant Console

The receptionist spilled coffee on the console....so now the Cancel, Start, and Release buttons (bottom row - hardcoded) do not work. I have programmed a Release button for her, but I think the Release button I programmed is different than the hardcoded Release button because now when she transfers callers and hits Release to disconnect herself from the transfer, it disconnects the caller. Couple questions:

1) We have 6424 units here. If I swap out the console with a 6424, what programming do I need to do in the phone switch? (i.e. - ch console, ch attendant 1, etc). How do I make it compatible with a 6424? When I do 'ch attendant 1', in the Type field, my choices are 'console' - which is what it is currently set to - or 302.

2) Is there a way to program a Transfer button?

The easy way to fix this is to replace the attd console with another one.

If you want to use the 6424 remove everything associated with the attd. Add a new station with the 6424 and point incoming calls to it. You will aslo need to create a VDN 0 that points to the 6424.
