I have an i2002 set with two DNs both SCR

cls AAA is set so that the DN on key 0 answers automatically.

When a user is on a call on the DN on key 1 I would like the whole set to be busy. Currently if a call comes in on key 0 the set buzzes and the calling party hears a ringing tone, I'd like them to hear a busy tone.

Thanks,

LHK is already set to 0 and I can't set HFD because I have AAA

My problem is not hunting to the next key, in the example above the user will be on the phone on DN 2528. Then a call will come in on DN 7586 I need that second call to be greeted with a busy tone. Currently it buzzes the handset and the calling party hears ringing which is no good because the user is already on the phone.

You need to create a busy situation to be able to give a busy tone to the caller. The only thing I can think of at the moment is to put the second line on a phantom phone/ACD etc, forwarded to the first line, then remove the second line from the phone, so only the first remains. All call will come in to the first line. when it is in use, the other line or a second call to this line, will give a busy or be directed to voice mail depending on your programming.

So there is no way you can think of to have a busy situation with both lines one a single phone? Problem with your suggestion is that currently the DN on key 0 is auto answered but the DN on key 1 isn't. The DN on key 0 only rings when the staff member is logged onto their computer where as the other DN could ring when they're not there and I don't really want it being auto answered. That's the only reason for having the two DN keys.
I guess I could put auto answer keys in but I can't see the staff remembering to turn them on/off.

Here is a scenario using the MSB feature.

When you log onto your PC, you take MSB off. Now calls can come to KEY 00. If you are away, you put MSB ON.

If you get a call on KEY 01, you press MSB then answer KEY 01 (or answer KEY 01 then press MSB - either way works).

If you are already logged on to your PC and a call comes to KEY 01, you need to do the MSB action. If you don't the call to KEY 00 could ring.

Even a second phone will not create the perfect environment - the user will still have to "do something" to stop the calls from coming to KEY 00 if they are logged onto their PC.

As a reminder, MSB does not require ACD.
