I have a stupid problem which I can not seem to figure out. Here's the deal. Lines 7139 and 7981 each ring to 8363 on hunt and fna. 8363 should ring on both sets then go to vmail if not answered. 8363 works fine by itself. And when the call goes unanswered it works as well. But if 7139 or 7981 is busy it rings to 8363 and never tranfers to vmail. Here's 8363's TN. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So it just sits and Ring No Answer on 8363 if 7139 or 7981 are busy?

Can you print those two TNs?

Matthew Heavner

Thanks guys. I do have SFA on both already. Here's the other 2 TNs

Where did you get those extra prompts ART0, ADAY, AHOL, AFD, AHNT? I'm guessing it has to do with those; but that's a feature I'm not familiar with.

Do all your phones have that? I noticed 8363 doesn't...

he has these RTDA RBDA RBHA in his CLS

ARTO (0)-3 Alternate Redirection Time Option for call redirection,
defined in the customer data block. Prompted if
CLS = RTDA.
basic-22
ADAY (0)-3 Alternate Days as defined in LD 15
Prompted if CLS = RBDA
AHOL (0)-3 Alternate Redirection Holiday as defined in LD 15
Prompted if CLS = RBHA
basic-24

Try changing the CLS to RTDD

Is there a reason you have Call Redirection By Time of Day on?

what is the pilot number for VM? your MWK's have 4510 defined but 8363 HNT's to 4509? Is that another VM pilot number or could 8363 not having AHNT and AFD be affecting it as well?

While your at it, change CLS to RBDD RBHD

Unless you have some reason to have time redirect on of course.

I would guess thats whats causing your problem.

Thanks guys but RBDA and RBHA have been working. They are setup so that after hours calls do not follow the normal hunt/fna pattern butgo directly to vm. And yes 4510 and 4509 are both dns for vm.

Another quick question...
Lines 7139 and 7981 aren't programmed elsewhere on a 500 set are they.

Remember hunting and forwarding will always follow a 500 set as opposed to a digital set with the same number.

couple of things to look at.. in my 81 marp controls fdn/hunt not an analog statin with the same number.. how may fdn are you looking for.. it will not rna past the 3rd target.. and numbers that are not key 0 on any station and do not appear on an analog do not usually follow fna... i almost never allow more then a single marp on a station.. we use mcr keys, and lhk past those to usually a dept mcr.. but some of that is because we have 10k did's all of the 434 exchange.. with zero non did's and we are almost running out of numbers..

on the install they add 4 or 5 did's to every phone and set it up like a key system, now we are rebuilding it..

Thanx JP. All the lines are on digital sets. And this used to work. I outted the TN accidentally and have recreated it and its not working. I can not figure out what I am missing. Here is the original TN and the new:

do you have any other appearances of those dn's? if so out all of them.. put that station back in and test it, then add the seconday appearances back... i had that problem with a class i was teaching recently.. i added a new scr to key 3 of my 3904.. it followed the forward, much to my surprise..i took it out, put in on another set, then put it back on my 3904 and marped it there.. it did not follow the forward..

i can't find anything on the nortel website but i repeated that test with the same result.. i am on rls 3, 81c

the only thing i see that is not the same in class are CLS PUA HFA RTDA RBDA RBHA FTTC and none of those SHOULD cause your problem.. a sure fix, burn an analog (soft) to control each dn, marp on that and they will follow the fdn/hunt

No luck JP. I removed every appearance of 8363 and rebuilt it and no luck. I tried putting it on an analog set and still no luck. It works forwarding no answer calls just not busy ones. Argh!

New development. When I call 8363 from its secondary line I get a busy signal. But if I call 8363 directly it works fine.
