It appears to run and then says installation complete but does not actually install the software. I have a fresh download from the AVAYA support site. I feel like I am missing something stupid on this. Second problem is The Application Launcher web site will not launch and tells me I need Java JRE which is already loaded.

I'm guessing that you are using this link to get the software?

Make sure that your version of Java isn't greater than Version 8 issue 66 as there are problems and that the BCM Element Manager link " is allowed in the Java configuration against the sites. Also make sure that Java updates are turned off and that the Java status is changed from Very High to just High.

I have mine running on a windows 7 32 bit and got it from the Avaya link. I agree with Firebird the only known issues are with the Java 8 which now has a power point work around to get around that. Have you tried wiping away all old instances of your current EM and then retrying? If you're trying to launch the bcm.sipsw.com/ApplicationLauncher and it is not going then this has to be an issue with your PC. Double check your security settings (What version of IE are you using?). You might also want to uninstall and reinstall Java. If you want to upgrade your Java to 8 I will attache the work around to get it working.

If It's Not Broken...Don't Fix It!

Hello Steve.

A star from me. I hadn't realised that you had uploaded a power point document on how to get around the Java update problem!.

A star from me too.
That security fix worked perfectly and I am now using BEM with the latest Java update 91. Thank you.
