Business Communication Manager Forwarding Problem

We run a small business and have two companies housed under the same building and use BCM for our phone network.

The basic problem is that Company A has an answering machine setup so that if no-one can take the call it handles it and Company B doesnt. If a call comes through to Company B and no-one answers it then they system passes the call to Company A and (eventually) to Company A's answer machine.

Now this is a minor problem since the customers phoning Company B are the competitors of Company A and it also seems just a little unprofessional. :)

What we would like to know is if its possible to set up an answer machine for Company B so the calls dont get forwarded onto Company A (or at the very least stop the calls being forwarded with some default "all users are busy message").

(Im very new to the company and havent had a huge chance to experiment with the system yet so apologies if this is a stupidly simple question) :D

Should probably have added that if theres any technical details needed then let me know and i'll get them for you, just not sure what details are relevant.... More just wanting to know if its possible so we can consider calling in engineers to fix it (or if its relatively straightforward i'll do it).
 
It sounds that the problem may be with your local telephone company.

Most likely your lines are set up in a rotary or a busy/don't answer situation and that is what is rolling them to the other number(s) and thus the other company.
 
In company B, have the phone that receives the call Forward no answer to Vmail of that phone.
