On a 9600 phone.

When a call is altering, sofkeys: [Answer], [To VM], [Ignore], [Drop], appear.

If I have voicemail turned off for the extension and press the [To VM] key then the call goes to voicemail anyways even though VM is turned off. This could be a feature or a bug depending on what you'd like to have happen for the user.

If I have voicemail turned on for the extension and press the [Drop] key then the call goes to voicemail but I already have a button for that.

If I have voicemail turned off for the extension and press the [Drop] key then nothing happens and the call continues to present to the phone.

Question: What is the point of the [Drop] key on alerting calls? At best it is redundant.

It is a feature although i understand your pain.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

it is a feature

All users and groups on an IP office have Voicemail.
the Voicemail tick box in the settings simply enables automatic forwardi9ng to VM when busy or not answered.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

One point of the "Drop" key is when you are a member of a group and receives an incoming group call, the call will be pushed to next member if pressing "Drop" (if the group is not Collective)

I hate this. If VM is off, the 'TO VM' button should not appear anymore, or at least should be a selectable option.

To vm with no vm is like a DND key on the go.
Drop is useful for ex employees or partners you dont want a message from if you havent got around to programming their clid to hang up or disconnect. It
's a good way to let someone know they're wanted without talking to them for repetitive tasks.
Beats yelling 'Front'
