I've been doing a data conversions from btrieve<br>
files and would like to know how dates are stored<br>
in a btrieve 5 data file.

I agree. However, I would also like to know 'storage infor' for 2, 3, and 4. (Needless to say, there is a problem.)

i'm trying to convert btrieve data to ascii text, what tools are you using for your conveersion ???

You can try Btsearch from Nelson Software Solutions. You ca download this softaware from , the simpler version costs $49.00 and is quite enough to recognize the btrieve version , read and/or create DDF files , browse a btrieve database and convert it to ASCII or Dbase format.
Hope this helps

To convert btrieve data to ascii, use btrieve /p:3072 followed by the cmd butil -save <btrieve file> output file>. This presumes u have btrieve.exe & butil.exe files. In case u dont have either, download btfiler available onthe net which will do the work for u. No need for DDF files
