, the simpler version costs $49.00 and is quite enough to recognize the btrieve version , read and/or create DDF files , browse a btrieve database and convert it to ASCII or Dbase format.

To convert btrieve data to ascii, use btrieve /p:3072 followed by the cmd butil -save <btrieve file> output file>. This presumes u have btrieve.exe & butil.exe files. In case u dont have either, download btfiler available onthe net which will do the work for u. No need for DDF files
