I'm so confused. Out new IPO is awesome. It was installed last May. Since then, everything has been wonderful except there's issues with our Backup/Restore. If I comment out the BRURI area in my settings file, all my phone work wonderfully.

But - why do I have to do that? When backups/restores are successful, where are they saved? I don't have any other servers besides the IPO and the V2 chassis. I don't see any phone backups in the file system of the IPO. My vendor can't seem to give me answers on this and I'd really like to fix it.

How does this work? Where are the phone backups saved? Is there a way to test the URL?

Thanks.

The only way - I know - to get the backup files is to host your own http server and give the phones another URL.

The path (or similar - you can see it in the autogenerated 46xxsettings.txt) is the only path that works. If you try to access those files from your computer you will get a message, that the files are only accessible by a phone. And I don't know where those files are stored. I never have been able to find them on the disk.

Need some help with IP Office?

On Server Edition it's the ipoffice process that listens on port 80 so I guess it uses some internal database to store phone backups.

there's issues with our Backup/Restore. " - what issues? I think we can say that the vast majority of systems just use the IP Office's own address and have no problem.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Sorry guys...I have know idea what you are talking about.

Is this a backup of the Ipo config...and restore

Or is this the backup / restore line you see flashing up on an ip phone.

What is the actual issue you are having..
Is there an issue with the phones working
Or is there an issue with the phones not working.

Backup/Restore of the Phones. I'm looking for the location of the 9608 backups so I can troubleshoot issues I'm having.

Issues: Phones get stuck at "retrieval in progress" unless I comment out the BR option in settings.

I'm looking for info on my phone backups. Where is this info saved? What if one becomes corrupt? How do I look at these phone backups so I can begin to troubleshoot? How do I test the URL in my settings file?

This backup/restore issue has plagued us from the install date. Phones get stuck forever at retrieval in progress. We reboot it 5-6 times until it works. It's not every phone, there's no rhyme or reason why upon login or boot, some random phones get stuck.

The phone backup on a IP500v2 chassis is stored within the config file, there are no separate files unless you use a separate HTTP server and specify in manager.
My first idea is to recreate the SD card.

Thanks. I will try that over the weekend, looks like it's an easy process. I appreciate the suggestion.
