I was wondering with embedded vm, is there a way to breakout by pressing 0 or whatever to go to VM?

I don't think the breakout works to shortcodes, I'm sure I tried that...worth a shot though.

Try pointing the breakout to the shortcode then as tlpeter said (and you initially asked for)

You can't put in a *or # in that field

I wonder if making the code something you never dial would work such as 888 or whatever.

the only way I can get it to work is if you set the AA to Dial by Number, create a number of users forwarded to short codes ?ext number.

e.g. if you have numbering plan 2xx make 3xx the voicemail collect codes

so short code 401 = ?201 and user 301 forwarded to 401

If you follow me

Means creating a user for every person who requires remote access

Okay figured this 1 out and have a way of getting voicemail access using any type of lines through AA:

Create a short code, e.g. *888
Feature: Voicemail Collect
Number: ?

You can have this as a dial option in an AA, XFR *888

The system then says "Enter you mailbox number
