Morning,

I have a branch location that is using VM Pro for there VM storage at a remote HQ. When calls are transferred to VM on the branch side internal or external (transfer to user at HQ VM), its asking for a pass code... When i transfer to VM to that remote location, it works. Calls coming in and transferred to an internal user the VM at the branch is asking for a passcode as well. Both systems are on V9.1

The office that is transferring to the other vm. Does it show in the System -> Voicemail tab "Embedded Voicemail" or "Centralized Voicemail".

You can look on the other voicemail (the one that is asking for the passcode) and see if, indeed, the voicemail box is on there.

The only passcodes I can think of are as follows:
1) The LOGIN passcode for the phone, which is found under User -> Telephony -> Supervisor Settings ... which you can make anything (within reason of course).
2) The voicemail passcode.

Finally, make sure, if you can, that what the user is saying is correct. I had one instance where the user said their voicemail passcode wasn't working... but they were not listening to the prompts they were getting that first asked for their extension number and THEN password.
(In this instance, for security, we had removed the source number from User -> Source Code tab).

Regards

It says "Voicemail Lite/Pro" with the correct VM server IP for both IPO's. I looked on the VM Pro which has Branch and HQ extensions in there, and the users in corporate where the branch is having issues sending to VM. I made another extension at HQ to and it populated in the VM pro and tried to transfer from branch to HQ. It keeps saying "Please enter you Mailbox number" when she transfers to VM. I looked how she is doing it and is doing it correctly. I tried it internally at the branch location it does work. The problem is transfer from branch to HQ, HQ to branch works and internally on both ends.

That's wrong, it should be set to "Centralised" on the remote system :)

So our HQ should be VM Pro Lite and the remote system be centralized?

Yes, that's how SCN works, you will need to chose the line group of the SCN as the destination when you change it to Centralized :)

gotcha. I see the voicemail destination field which is the outgoing group id's i can choose from the various trunks I have. I would choose the HQ group id since its the VM Pro/Lite?

Ok. It requires a reboot :(, I guess i'll do it after 5 boooo. Just a FYI, both of these IPO's are licensed for VM Pro

They don't need to be, only one . The issue was the VM Pro would be flapping between systems, I'm surprised it worked at all :)

So I would think it would work because of the licensing.
