Wiring Closet,
I have a J169 phone running 4.0.4.0.10 Firmware. It is connected to an Avaya IP office 500 v2 that is running 11.0.4.1.13 build 1.
There is a similar threat, "Blocking caller id thread940-1460417" I have tried inhibiting and then allowing caller ID for one user on my system. I use both a user short code and an ARS as follows:
Code: XN; Telephone Number: NS8035551212 (valid DID changed for privacy) Feature: Dial 3K1 Line Group ID: 0.
When I make test calls I see an additional field on my calls from this extension: Pres=Restricted (1)
In context the entire setup of a call with no caller ID passed is:
CMSetup
Line: type=Q931Line 5 Call: lid=0 id=12767 in=0
Called[8035551213] Type=National (2) Reason=CMDRdirect Calling[805551212] Type=National Plan=ISDN Pres=Restricted (1)
BC: CMTC=3K1Audio CMTM=CallIndSigCon CMTR=64 CMST=Default CMU1=ULaw
BChan: slot=0 chan=23
Locale: enu
Here is an example of a call successfully passing outbound caller ID:
CMSetup
Line: type=Q931Line 5 Call: lid=0 id=12775 in=0
Called[8035551213] Type=National (2) Reason=CMDRdirect Calling[8035551214] Type=National Plan=ISDN
BC: CMTC=3K1Audio CMTM=CallIndSigCon CMTR=64 CMST=Default CMU1=ULaw
BChan: slot=0 chan=23
Locale: enu
Is there some way the user inadvertently restricted caller ID on their set? Why is the first call Pres=Restricted?
