i have an option 11c system. i need to setup a block for an ext so that only incomeing calls are allowed what options under class of service should i change?

lower the ncos to below your route frl, try 1. or try FR2

or match the TGAR on the set w/the TARG on the routes. when these 2 match, the call is blocked.

although FR2 is much easier.......

targ/tgar isn't going to fly either unless tgar is set to yes in the esn data block.

Normally NCOS of 0 is set up for Onswitch calls only.

Clarify the previous post. It should be set up for on switch calls only with the exception of 911 or 9911 calls. You do not want to block those.

need to block all out going calls even on switch exspet 911

If you have ESA properly configured with 911 as the ESDN and 9-911 as an SPN that points to an RLI that is LTERM = YES, then 911 will work under any scenario.

If you do not have ESA configured, you could probably do something, but I would activate ESA and do it the right way.

There is a way to block 911 from a set with ESA using Pretranslation, but I would recommend that if you did need to do that, you get a waiver from the PSAP.

stop mixing HR with Technology. There is no happy medium.

Big Indian is right. You could do a pretranslation on all digits to a VM thrudial service which has a fully restricted RPL and allow only 9 for the outside lines.

then, when your NCOS is 0, no outoing calls. ESA will handle the 911.

A lot of work for a simple HR issue. Easier to remove the dialpad or buy a phone without.
