Is there a way to block a specific incoming call from specific number. I have a user that receiving an incoming fax to his extension that he wants to block?
We are using Avaya BCM50 with Meridian units.

Depend if Human answers or Callpilot and or if this user has a direct line.
CLID Routing table in Callpilot can be used to block based on the caller id if AA (not mailbox) answers all lines.

Can you add any info?

FYI - This is the Norstar forum, the BCM forum is here:

Then I suggest have that DID answered by AA, setup Table 2 or another that is not is use.
Make Attendant = that persons DN
Record a greeting for people to press 0 to reach John Doe.

Setup CLID Routing Table to tell the fax where to go.

Another way of doing it is to set up a spare greeting table with no greetings and attach a CCR with a home/xfer node. Then you could apply the number filtering to get rid of the unwanted call and still have the transfer done automatically to the appropriate extension without the caller having to dial 0.

Just use blank greetings or if you feel you have to be polite you can announce the persons name, which will be followed by "one moment please" when the call get transferred.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE IN THIS MATTER!!!!

What I have completed with the local support assistance was by Creating Table that consist of the exact number to be block. Assigned that specific extension to route ALL (ONLY OPTION) inbound call to that table first. End-user change is that it will required all caller to press 0 to continue to ring the phone. So far it has blocked a lot of RoboCalls with no issue, with the exception that sometimes he forgot and ask me if his extension is in the BLOCKED list!!!!!

*****(DO NOT FORGET TO ASK THE END-USER THAT THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL ACTION NEEDED FOR THE CALLER, IS IT OKAY TO PROCEDE? {My End-user agreed and INSISTED to continue!!! I send the conversations and request his permission on the email and received his INSISTED reply ~ 3 weeks later he pulled me to his office and lecturing me of not following protocol and claimed that his phone line is BLOCKED)*****

Another way is to transfer the call to a fax machine and fax them back telling them that they have the wrong number.
