Dear all,
I noticed that of recent, each time i do DUSYI, it gives the output below:

WAIT FOR CHECK READING OF RELOAD DIRECTORY
CHECK READING SUCCESSFUL
BACKUP DATE INFORMATION FILE DUMPED
UPDATE OF EXTERNAL BACKUP FINISHED
LOAD OF STANDBY SIDE HAS BEEN ORDERED

ORDERED

on entering the command DCSSP; i get:

LIM CSSIDE A CSSIDE B BLOCKWORD
1 EXECUTING BLOCKED B'00011100
2 BLOCKED EXECUTING B'00011100
3 EXECUTING BLOCKED B'00011100
4 BLOCKED EXECUTING B'00011100

this behaviour started recently. any ideas why????

thanks.

The Admiral

this is normal, the standby side must also be dumped and this takes times. that's why you receive 'ORDERED' printout and not the 'EXECUTED' printout. during loading/dumping the standby side is blocked as shown in DCSSP;

normally after a period of time (take +/- 30 minutes) you will receive a spontaneaous printout like 'STANDBY SIDE HAS BEEN LOADED' or something like that.

thanks /Daddy,

why i am concerned is that most times after about +/-30min, i get the printout below:

SPONTANEOUS PRINTOUT

LOAD OF STANDBY CONTROL SYSTEM INFORMATION

LOADED LIMS FAILED LIMS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1
2 NO CONTACT WITH P L F
3
4
END

<DCSSP;
CONTROL SYSTEM INFORMATION

LIM CSSIDE A CSSIDE B BLOCKWORD
1 EXECUTING STANDBY
2 BLOCKED EXECUTING B'00101110
3 EXECUTING STANDBY
4 STANDBY EXECUTING

the standby side remains blocked untill i reset(or pullout and push back in) the affected LPU5 card. i am worried about the frequency of this failure. it occurs on different lims. pls advise.

thankx.

The Admiral

it seems that the standby LPU of lim2 has a problem. try to swap standby LPU's of LIM 2 and LIM 3 and see if the problem moves or not...
