BFS key- Boss-Secretary Filtering intermittent

Boss-Secretary Filtering Enhancement in use; BFEA on all sets.

The receptionist intermittently reports her BFS key for various tenants stops working (she cannot activate or de-activate filtering) or calls do not filter to her. My present case involves the latter; calls are ringing to the Boss with filtering activated at her set. The particular tenant has been working fine for more than one week.

Verified in LD 80 that all keys are idle on the Boss set. BFS activated on the proper TN at the Secr. set. I can activate/ de-activate from the receptionist but calls still do not filter to her. In the past, I have nulled the BFS key for the Boss on the receptionist set and then re-installed to fix this problem but this does not work today.

I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions.
Respectfully,
ccdpaladin

does the boss have fna, he needs that because she is trying to forward his calls to her. and make sure the line she is trying to forward is marped on the tn under her bfs key. not sure if she can forward a line she has a scr for to her set. if i forward my 4940 mcr to another tech, and he has that on his set, my phone still rings.. sorta keeping out of the loop thing

John,
Yes, boss has FNA, HTA, BFEA, etc. The Boss has two phones, one for himself and one for his assistant. They each have three SCR's of x6048 (6048, 116048, and 126048) which is their main number on keys 8,9,10 respectively. They have a unique, non-did extension on keys 0,1,2. (x4580 and x4581).

Initially, I had x6048 built on a "soft" 2008 set (key 0,1,2 with FNA, HTA, BFEA, etc.) and marp'd there, since the Boss has CFXA and might call forward his set off-net to a cellphone. I did this because x6048 might follow this fwd and wouldn't remain available to be filtered and transfered to his assistant. The BFS key on the receptionist set (for the Boss) was of this soft set.

Today, I deleted the BFS on the receptionist set and re-installed. No change. So, I next deleted the "soft" set with marp'd x6048 and re-installed. That fixed it and filtering now worked.

I'm thinking the soft set might be my problem, so I deleted this completely and marp'd x6048 on his set and changed the receptionist BFS key to point to the his set.

I'll wait and see.

sounds like we were on the right track, if you need the soft set to be back in the mix, might need a bfs for it.. it sounded like it should have worked before the change. have you verified marp is turned on? the set will still show marp even if it's off in the cdb.. sounds like you know enough to have verified that but we are so used to it being on (off by default) that sometimes we overlook the simple factors
