I have been asked to set up a call centre in one of our remote offices to be run from out from our main call centre.

I was think of using 9150 as a solid reliable solution, but would like to try running it as a pure voip install.

any thoughts?

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

You can have callcenter agents on a 9150 or as normal VOIP users on i2004 sets.
It doesnt matter so much wich way you choose.

So it is really up to you to decide wich solution you want.

We have customers with both solutions and they both work fine.

An IP solution with i2004 for example gives best flexibility. I think that is the best reason i can come up with..

Cheers Sennback,

Also I guess it's going to depend on the amount of resiliance required.

the bandwidth needed for a call center is tremendous, make sure you want to do that, at one time nortel didn't Recommend acd sets in a fiber remote, and for a carrier based remote you better hope it's a small center, i don't know if it will even help if your trunks and rans are local to the remote, your still talking mega bucks for bandwidth unless you like clipping. i've seen 10 calls and normal data flow bog down a 9150 on a full t1. voice was marked with high priority but a frame ckt was not looking at the de bit so clipping was a major problem, the customer hates the site because they can't cost justify anymore bandwidth. and i can't make it work without it
