Best Practice for Frequency of Upgrading the Firmware on the IPO? If its Working?

We purchased out IPO500v1 with R5. It was working well until we introduced SIP Trunking. Form there we Upgraded to R8.0(44) SIP Trunking is still not 100% (or so says the SIP Provider)

With our old Legend an Magix Systems we Updated the Firmware maybe 3-4 times in 20 years.

Thanks!

Router ALG OR STUN, having both will play havock!!!!

Sometimes STUN is best sometimes not!! Not very helpful I know.

Denny, when a dedicated line is chosen then it must be a line for voice as this is different than for data.
And yes a dedicated voice line with QOS is expensive but it is needed for a good line.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

So far when things are tweaked on the provider End and we can make the calls, the Cal Quality is fine when using our Internet Connection with no QoS. Here and there are some issues, though Not that much different from when we had a dedicated AT&T IPFlex Connection. Now the Old Magix with a T1 PRI was Super Quality. (-:
