Setting up BCMS (actually BCMR) server, have it pointed to the CLAN, but on the TEST connection during the initial setup it says that the login works, but does not have sufficient permissions, see manual and so forth. The manual is written for the earlier software models. So... exactly what permissions does the BCMR login have to have to make a CM 4 work with EAS?

Try this , from an s8300 g700isplay permissions bcmsvu

COMMAND PERMISSION CATEGORIES

Login Name: bcmsvu

COMMON COMMANDS

MAINTENANCE COMMANDS

Thanks! Right now, I have virtually everything turned on, but I still get the "don't have the proper permissions" message. .... But it works.
I'll use this to thin down the permissions a bit.

Let me quess, version of CM is 4.0.1!

We have the same problem, made a complete new profile and still can't get it to work.

So if someone got the answer, please post it here, because the superuser (prof18) doesn't work wither.

Set up a profile in te SWITCH programming, not the maintenance browser. Dup the profile 19, turn the stuff on in the switch, and if like mine, it will work...... then still say that you have the wrong permissions.
I really "like" the way Avaya says that there aren't enough permissions, then check the manual, .... which doesn't help. Were we in a little bit of a rush to get to market, perhaps?
