Hi,

We're hoping to identify the telephone number called on our phone handsets but failing.

Our phone provider has allocated a block of numbers and we now use ISDN (BRI). When I call one of our block I notice that the BCM Monitor application is logging DNIS as a 6 digit number showing the last 6 digits of the DDI, therefore I presume our line is providing the info OK.

In Element Manager I've configured "Target Lines", where 125 takes a Pub Received# of the last 6 digits of the last no, and 126 takes the next etc.

I've added the Target Lines into the Hunt Group, and have set the Public Received number length to 6 in the Dialing plan. I've checked that the Sets are set to display "line".

Doubtless I have missed something simple - hope you can help.

Thanks

The only setting i usually do is to tick the box for CLI against the line 125.
This allows the CLID info to be displayed before answering the call

The setting you changed in sets to display line.
change that back to default NAME.

as far as i remember changing this to line will only display the line name and not the number.

Does BCM monitor show the calling party name and number? If not you may not be subscribing to it. Anyway, as snowman said with "line"set as the first display on each set you will only see the line name. To see the rest of the caller ID info, press the "info" button while the call is still active and you can scroll through line name, caller name, and caller number, or just change the first display to number.

Hi,
Thanks for your help. Nothing seemed to make sense so I reset and rebuilt the Hunt Group etc and it is now working - my best guess is that it was a wrongful setting on the lines or something.
The info button hint is useful - although it would be great to see DNIS and CLID on one screen at once - presumably the IP Phones can do this with their bigger screens, but not an expenditure for this year!
Thanks again
