Hello, I am having trouble getting a BCM50 Rls 3.0 to dial out over it's VoIP trunks to other sites which include other BCMs and also CS1000. I have it registered with the NRS and can call it from the CS1000 side.

When I try to call the CS1000 from the BCM50 or one of the other BCM site from the BCM50 I get dead air for about 8 seconds and then a fast busy. I have the DNs for the other sites setup as wildcard dest codes. One of the sites is all 6s so I setup 6A and pointed it to route 002 which is line pool BlocA (VoIP trunks).

H323 settings are gatekeeper resolved, CSE protocol. Private network is 4 digits, PNI is 1. I checked the PNI on the CS1000 side and it is also 1. I setup about 20 BCM200 running 3.7 last summer and got this working in a similair setup, so I am not sure what is missing.

I also checked my codec settings, they are the same. I am also using the alias syntax of NAME:system name. Any ideas?

Is there a checkbox for Gatekeeper Wildcard under H.323 trunks? I forget if that is on the 50 or just the 4.0, but if there, I'd give that a shot.

gatekeeper wildcard gets checked on both the BCM 50 & BCM 200/400. Is your ip route set as private and not public? R u using cdp or udp?

Thanks for the info. My route is set to private/CDP. I do not have the gatekeeper wildcard box checked. I will try that and post back the result.

OK, I got it working. Checked the gatekeeper wildcard checkbox, set every site to use G711 at 30ns payload and set my private network to CDP. All sites are working both ways now.

Hi,
I got a BCM1000, version 3.6.. the PC side is dead, but the MSC is ok.. I found the problem was due to corrupted file on the hard disk.
I then connected the BCM hard disk to my pc and run chkdsk -f on it. Well, it fixed the corrupted file and I could boot up the BCM. All looks Ok, I could browse to the BCM but I couldn't log in to the telephony side of it, although I could log in to Call Pilot.

I then did a restore from a back-up file, but it couldnot finish the Voice Application section. After 2 hrs sitting on it, I resorted to closing down the restore session.!!!

I then connect to Bcm via the serial, the password has reverted back to PlsChgMe! On the first BCM page, it indiated that there is a computer name mismatch.

Now... I am running out of idea on what to do next... Could anyone help??

Thanks..
a baffled tech...
