BCM450 status led solid red

I have a BCM450 with Power led Solid Green & status led solid red (in fact the status led took 20 mnts blinking Green then it turned solid red).

It supposed to be "Services initialization FAILURE".

Please advise if you have a solution.

Most likely to be the power unit. I would just change out the entire chassis, but swap over the motherboard and hard disk module.

Many thanks for your reply; in fact we changed the power unit with the one in the Expansion unit but same problem still persisting.

Plug in a serial cable to the 9 way connectore on the BCM 450 at 115200 baud and power it up to watch what you see on the screen. Best to capture the data in case you have a dodgy hard disk.

We used Ethernet connection as Serial cable not available; we entered the User/password but we are getting "access denied".

You should really try the serial port method to check out the disk status.

Please advise if the serial connection will require user/password ? please also advise if it is a crossed or straight connection ?

I think you will need a null modem adapter and you won't need to log in. You should see typical linux data on the screen.
