This is my first 450. Sadly, I did not read some of the posts regarding the LAN ports on the 450 and I tried to change both the customer port and the OAM port due to conflicts with the customer network. This was in preparation for installation of some IP sets. Now the 450 hands me the same address from both ports but I cannot get into the system with the address I assigned. Any suggestions as to how I can get in the system and put the ports back to default?

Use a phone and do feature 9*0
Enter the telephone login details and scroll. Down to IP address
This will be the LAN address

Then set your laptop to an address in the range and see if you can then access it.

Look t the FAQs above for more details

Thanks. I am not on site right now but I will try this in the morning. I did find some similar posts with a link regarding this same procedure on a BCM50. It involved F9*8. It did not come up exactly as described but by some experimentation, I was able to see what was wrong and make the corrections. I want to say hooray for this forum. I wish I had discovered this in the 32 years I was working for a phone company instead of on my own. Everyone who posts needs to know how helpful their information is; better than some of the tech support folks I used within 'the company'.

I have changed LAN ports on other BCM products in the past in order to conform to some networks. The difference may be that I always label,on the switch, what IP addresses are assigned to which port. It would appear the 450 is a different animal from it's predecessors. Lesson learned. Go here first, then stupid stuff can be avoided. Now, does anyone have any ideas how to avoid conflicts in the customer network for the IP sets I need to install? They use 192.168.xxx.xxx with a subnet of 255.255.0.0. Seems to me the default of 192.168.2.2 may be a problem if used for the IP sets. Suggestions?
