Hi All,

Trying to set up bcm 6.0 for message forwarding and it does not seem to be working correctly. The COS allows me to check off the msg fwd option and i can add the email address in mailbox manager but it does not appear in the mailbox as shown in the task guide.

any ideas on this one?

thanks

thanks for the quick response cook,

yes I have tried both the domain name and ip address. Here is a question: do i need the same amount of unified messaging seats as voicemail licenses? my system is currently configured with 5 unified messaging seats and 25 mailboxes.

You need as many unified messaging seats as there are mailboxes with the message forwarding enabled class of service. They don't have to be the same mailboxes that use unified messaging though.

I have the mailboxes i am using for message forwarding set up in COS 3. and the rest of the mailboxes in COS 1. there are only 5 unified messaging seats and 25 mailboxes. Could it be something I am overlooking.

You should be able to look at the events log in the CallPilot Manager reports area.
If I remember correctly, this will show the Message being forwarded out if you've configured everything correctly.
This can help you isolate between a BCM problem or an Email Server problem.

HTH!

thanks supportdude,

I will check when I am onsite. I just want to be clear,as long as I have a separate COS built for the Message forwarding users I should not have a problem with this correct?

Well ... there's lots of places to have a problem with this, but in the BCM you need to enable Message Forwarding for the COS.
There must be as many Unified Messaging keycode seats as there are mailboxes with all Class of Services (COS) with Message Forwarding enabled. The number of mailboxes using a COS with Message Forwarding do not have to be the same mailboxes using CallPilot Unified Messaging.
