Good Evening,

I have a BCM450 5.0 running the call center. The reporting all loads properly, and it passes all of the requirements. When we launch the I get the error.

Error Type:
ADODB.Field (0x800A0BCD)
Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record.
/rcc/global.asa, line 38

Other threads have suggested blowing everything out including the OS, but I think that is a little extreme. I have removed everything twice now, including IIS, and everything related to the RCC.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Latest patchs on that bad boy? I believe the latest has a few for RCC.

Install the latest Patchs
Download RCC and try to install again.

Whats your OS XP sp2?

It's only dialtone-VZ

Good Evening,

I just installed this system last week with all of the latest patches for the BCM450 5.0 I do not have the SU number, but I know it is the latest. The customer provided a Windows XP machine with service pack 2. I loaded the complete version of IIS, no firewalls, no anti-virus etc.. The complete validation process all PASS. It's just when I launch the software..

Anyways, I will check online to ensure no new patches arrived in the past couple of days, and try it again.

I will keep you all posted if I find something!

Cheers
James

I will tell you that I thought having the server PC put back to like new by the IT guys was useless but from what I found that loading and removing the RCCS s/w corupts something plus it does not remove all files on a uninstall.
So after The IT guys did there thing the damm thing worked.
Good luck

Hey Cook1082,

The Windows XP machine that the client provided was clean (fresh install) of the OS with Service pack 2 and IIS. I fully understand what you mean about crap being left behind after an uninstall.

I will ask the IT person on-site to blow it all out again and reload the Windows XP from scratch and give it a go again.

I'll keep you all informed.

Cheers

Techguy74,

You mentioned before that you also uninstalled everything related to rcc...is that including all SQL items under add/remove programs?

Good Morning,

Yes that included SQL items.

Just resolved this same issue on a system here in our environment.

I'm a SQL Server DBA and was asked to take a look at an issue during the install of SQL Server 2005 Express Edition when Reporting for Contact Center was being installed. After getting past that, ended up with the IIS issue described above.

Ran some Profiler traces and figured out that queries being executed against the CCRDB database were not returning any rows. Digging deeper, found that all the tables I checked had no rows. Ended up running all the scripts in C:\Program Files\Nortel\Reporting for Contact Center\SQLInstall\SQLScripts\DefaultConfig. Using SQLCMD command-line utility was easiest, in following syntax (where you have changed directories to the directory noted above):

[tt] sqlcmd -E -S.\rccsqlexpr -i "abandonedtimebins.sql"[/tt]

Do this for each of the script files in the directory. Once that was done, tech was able to get logged into the web application and finish the setup.
